Singer Sheryl Crow, who survived breast cancer, was constantly comforted by friends and family when she underwent seven weeks of radiotherapy.
According to Contactmusic.com, Crow suffered from pain and fatigue and had to be confined to her Los Angeles home. But friends like Dana Reeve, Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox visited her and helped her get through her worst days.
Crow had to suffer additionally as she also had to cope with her break up from Lance Armstrong. She said: "I was forced to be in my house but I had my friends around. I was tired and was also was going through the trauma before I was diagnosed and so all of it culminated at the same time and really forced me to just work my way through all of it."
Crow added: "I remember seeing Dana Reeve and somebody asked her 'how do you get through all this grief' and she said, `The only way to get through grief is to grieve, and so that's just kinda what I did.' I had this incredible tribe of women just descend upon me and carry me through the whole experience on their backs and my family also took shifts coming over (to visit me)."
