From today, your favourite pizza and doughnut will come with some quick road safety tips.
With youth as its target, Jubilant FoodWorks, which owns Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin Donuts, has decided to give out road safety cards to all its customers in the city. Nearly 6,000 delivery boys will be delivering the cards along with pizzas and doughnuts while servers in these eateries will be doling out these cards to the dine-in guests.
The week-long drive will be launched at Baba Kharak Singh Marg Traffic Park on Saturday during the opening ceremony of the Road Safety week organised by Delhi Traffic police.
“This is a unique initiative and we hope it will promote road safety among youngsters of the city,” said Taj Hassan, special commissioner of police (traffic).
In addition to this, about 100 delivery boys would join hands with the traffic police to distribute road safety literature at 25 important intersections and 25 public places such as malls and marketplaces during the week.
“We feel it is our social responsibility to create awareness among people on this sensitive issue and therefore, we have joined hands with the traffic police,” said Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant Food Works Limited.
