BJP leader Kalraj Mishra on Friday asked BSP chief Mayawati to fulfill her promise of sending Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav to jail.
"Mayawati had promised to send Mulayam to jail if voted to power (in the last UP polls)...but after assuming power she forgot her promise. People want her to fulfill her promise," Mishra told reporters here.
Now ahead of the next year's Assembly polls, SP is promising people that it would send Mayawati to jail if voted back to power, Mishra said, adding that both Mulayam and the BSP chief were involved in economic offences and facing probes for the same.
The BJP leader said that law and order situation was at its worse in the BSP regime. "Incidents of rape in the state have touched a record high and the government has not been able to do anything to check it," he said.
He also held SP, BSP and Congress responsible for the backwardness of the state.
