Fun Fair at MKHS Gujarati Girls College

WOMEN PLAY an important role in laying the foundations of a progressive society. They must not allow education and career to affect their values, says Dr Shuchi Shrivastav.

She was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Fun Fair at MKHS Gujarati Gils College on Sunday. Dr Shuchi said that such fairs help the girls in learning management skills. Jayantiben Sanghvi and Kundanben Turakhia were the special guests of the programme.

College principal Dr Ramesh Mangal delivered the welcome address. The fair comprised of a food zone, games and entertainment stalls. Rachna Shah, Nitaben Shah and Prof Vivek Patni were the judges for the day.

The first prize in food zone went to ‘Dahi bada’ stall with Rajasthani dhokla and paneer pakoda at the second and third spots. Among other stalls Mehndi stall and Jewellery stall won the first and second prizes.

College governing body president Mukesh Patel, Prof Deepak Shah and Reetika Panchal welcomed the guests. Shri Gujarati Samaj Trust Board president Pankaj Sanghvi, UGC coordinator Manoj Parikh, Kiran Shah and Narendra V Patel were present on this occasion.

Prof Kumbhan Khandelwal coordinated the event. Dr Vijaylaxmi Poddar conducted the programme while Pratiksha Shah proposed the vote of thanks.
