Gagandeep sets record in U-19 cricket

A RECORD six ball sixes by Gagandeep Khanuja (65), brilliant batting by Ram Singh (95), all round performance by Ankur Palanpure of scoring 83 runs and taking four wickets helped Khanuja Cricket Club trounce Sri Ram Club by 279 runs in the inaugural match of the Chowkse Memorial U-19 cricket tournament organised by the Indore Sports Club.

Batting first, Khanuja Cricket Club piled up 365 runs. Ankit Dane batted well to score 55. The hurricane innings of Gagandeep Khanuja was the highlight of the match. He blasted six ball sixes and created a record in the U-19 cricket tournament.

In reply, Sri Ram Club were skittle out for mere 82 runs, Retesh Mishra scored 22 and rest of the batsmen fell like ninepins to the bowling of Ankur Palanpure and Sourabh Ranjan. Ankur captured four wickets and Sourabh Ranjan took three wickets to help their team win the match by 279 runs.
