A gas cylinder explosion today inside a house pulled down a double-storey structure but no one was injured in the incident, police said.

The incident took place at Neem Sarai locality where the house of local businessman Gauhar came down with a loud bang at around 5 o'clock in the evening, they said.

Gauhar had gone to his in-laws' place along with his family members and the house was unoccupied and locked from outside when the explosion took place, police said adding the blast appeared to be the result of a "short circuit".
