TAKING A cue from the Congress, Samajwadi Party scion Akhilesh Yadav assured the former office-bearers of the district youth organisations that they would be given posts of higher responsibility in the near future.

Yadav was addressing party workers near the Ganga bridge on his way to Lucknow from Etawah on Saturday. He said that in view of the coming elections in the State,  former office-bearers would be entrusted with responsibilities to strengthen the party.

He said it was the policy of the party to make every worker active and dynamic in achieving the set targets of development.

He warned the workers that assembly elections could be announced any time so they should remain active and on guard. The Samajwadi Party had already started identifying the most suitable candidates for the election, he said.

He advised the workers that they should channelise their energy to create an impressive image of the party to win the hearts of the voters.

Akhilesh said that he would hold a meeting of the office- bearers of the youth organisations of the party after June 25 and delegate responsibilities. He advised them that till they were assigned specific responsibilities, they should work in their respective areas and distribute literature among the people pertaining to the government’s efforts for development of the State. Prominent among those who greeted the youth leader were Guddan Dixit, Chetan Bhadauria, Babul Khan, Mannu, Bablu Gupta and Manu Dixit.
