Merkel said she was keen to travel to India to witness for herself the economic progress being made by the country.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel today said she will visit India next year.
Addressing the inaugural function of Indo-German Business Summit, she said she had accepted the invitation extended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during their talks in Hanover on Sundday.
