Four persons, including a German and a Russian national, have been arrested for allegedly organising a rave party during a raid in Pernem taluka, police said on Monday.

Three rave parties at Junaswada Mandrem beach, Vitthaldaswada and Gawdewala at Morjim beach were raided on January 10 by the police police said.

A Russian and a German, known for holding rave parties, were arrested, Police Inspector C L Patil, who led the raid, told PTI.

The raid also swooped on the local hands involved in the parties, police said.

The rave parties which were earlier centered at the beaches of Anjuna and Vagator have shifted to far off northern spots that are isolated, they said.

Police, however, refused to divulge details of the foreigners arrested during the raid. The officials also refrained from stating whether drugs were seized during the raid.

The accused have been booked for playing loud music beyond the stipulated hours.
