Foodie Sahil Makhija of Demonstealer Records to cook for winners of online lucky draw.

Musician and metal record label owner by day, and chef-blogger by night, Sahil Makhija is momentarily turning his jam room into a gourmet dining table. A self-confessed food connoisseur, Makhija is extending his love for good cooking to his fans, who will be treated to a lavish dinner prepared by the musician.

Lucky draw
All they have to do is to buy merchandise from Makhija’s Demonstealer Records and enter a lucky draw competition.
“I started blogging recipes from my cookouts on Facebook. I call it Food For Thought where I put up recipes and new things I’m trying out. I also give tips on good cooking with pictures,” says Makhija.

He adds, “I started getting feedback from people all over the country who wanted to try out my cooking. That’s when I thought of this little competition.”

The draw is for people who pick up merchandise of bands that Demonstealer Records handles, including Albatross, Demonic Resurrection and Workshop every Monday, till the end of February.

Dinner date
All purchases will be put in a draw and the chits picked will win a dinner date with the band of their choice, with Makhija playing chef.

“We also keep hosting foreign metal bands, so if the winners are lucky, they might score a dinner date with one of them,” says Makhija. The dinner dates can be redeemed over a period of one year. “This is for people who stay in places like Delhi and can’t come down to Mumbai on short notice,” he adds.

Demonic Bacon Bomb
250 grams pork mince
1/2 pack of bacon
Onions or spring onions
Garlic
Pepper
Salt
Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
BBQ Sauce
Celery, Parsley or any other herbs you like

Method
Dry the pork mince and pat it to form a square. Season with garlic salt, pepper, herbs, onions, Parmesan cheese and BBQ sauce. Add cheese on top and roll into a meatfloaf shape.

Wrap with bacon. Cook in oven at 220 degrees for 30 min or till it gets crispy.
