GGP pledges to form govt

A MEETING of the State executive committee of the Gondwana Ganatantra Party (GGP) was held at its office in the Capital on Tuesday. The party’s State president, Gulzar Singh Markam, presided over the meeting and the party pledged to form government on its own strength during 2008 elections. District unit presidents also attended along with the State executive members.

During the meeting, political review of the present situation in party’s context was made. Also, the issues of membership drive, Forest Rights Act, appointment of State Assembly representatives and the programmes scheduled for year 2007 were discussed.

For this, workers’ convention at all levels would be held. Leader of legislative group Manmohan Shah Batti, national vice-president K S Kumre, other office bearers including Dr Satish Nag, N R Bhuarya, Dr C L Vanshkar, Dr B L Barman, S Ahake, state women’s wing president Durgavati Uike, Indrani Thakur and others were present.
