Ghaziabad doc’s wife murdered, son injured in attack

The wife of a Ghaziabad physician was killed and their son seriously injured by a group of men led by their tenant’s relative at their Rajinder Nagar Sector-2 residence on Tuesday afternoon, police said, reports Peeyush Khandelwal.

The wife of a Ghaziabad physician was killed and their son seriously injured by a group of men led by their tenant’s relative at their Rajinder Nagar Sector-2 residence on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The physician, Dr MS Mallick, runs a clinic at Shahdara in Delhi.

Mallick’s wife Subhlesh (50) was murdered and son Divya (28) was injured allegedly by their tenant’s brother-in-law Himanshu Faujdar and his men.

Divya, who had just completed his Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), was rushed to a hospital by the neighbours, police said.

“As per initial investigations and statements made by Divya Mallick, Faujdar — the brother-in-law of their tenant Himanshu Faujdar had come lawyer Jitendra Singh — came to their residence with some accomplices and had an altercation over some matter which led to the incident. The involvement of cannot be ascertained as per initial investigations,” SSP Akhil Kumar said.

“They had an altercation over some matter which led to the incident. The details about Subhlesh’s injuries are not clear and will be revealed after the post-mortem. The exact cause of the incident is still unclear.”

The SSP said a case has been lodged against the culprits who had fled the spot after the incident.
