A 21-year-old woman travelling with a friend on a motorbike was waylaid by four men in a car in Gurgaon and abducted early on
Sunday.

Police said the men drove for about 15 minutes, dumped the friend on Sohna Road and sped away with the woman towards Badshahpur.

The friend, whose mobile phone and wallet were snatched, noted down the car’s registration number on his palm. He called up the police around 2am. The car has a UP registration number.

The woman and her friend were on way to a hotel. They visited Sahara Mall in Gurgaon around 12.30am and spent about 45 minutes in a pub.

The police are yet to file an FIR.

“The case looks to be a bit tricky as the victim’s friend is continuously changing his statement. It could also be a case of a financial transaction having gone sour.

We are trying to solve the mystery and will file an FIR accordingly,” said DCP Surinder Pal.
