Girl injured in daylight loot

UNIDENTIFIED YOUTHS robbed two youngsters including a girl who were sitting in a park on Sunday afternoon. The girl was seriously injured by looters. 

According to police, Minakshi Patel, a native of Raipur, who studies in Barkatullah University, had gone to the Mayur Park on Sunday along with her friend Deepak Jain, a resident of Misrod. Both of them study in the yoga department of the university.

Two youths approached them and whipped out a sharp razor asking them to part with their valuables. However, the girl refused. The accused then attacked them. Minakshi received a deep wound of razor in her head.

The accused snatched her gold chain, purse and cell phone and then escaped. They were then seen running towards Bhim Nagar. The injured girl was admitted to the hospital. Jain reportedly received a gash on his cheek.

The police have launched a hunt for the robbers, one of them was around 25-28 years old and tall. He had several syringe marks on hand suggesting that he was a drug-addict. The other was short. The police are interrogating the suspects. A case of robbery has been registered.
