In a shocking incident in Mandya district of Karnataka, a 19-year-old girl was pushed from a moving train on Tuesday after she resisted molestation by four men.
The girl, a tailor at a garment factory in Bangalore, was going to her hometown Mysore by Yeshwantpur-Mysore Express train when she was thrown out of the train, 25 ft below on the dry river bed of Shimsha, near Maddur, about 63 km from Bangalore. She was rushed to Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
The accused, labourers in Bangalore, were arrested on Wednesday. Activists of Bajrang Dal assaulted the accused while pro-Kannada organisations staged a protest.
