The first session of the Goa Legislative Assembly this year will be held from January 2 to 6, officials said on Friday.
"The five-day assembly has been summoned and we will ask the respective legislators to submit their business," said JN Braganza, Goa Legislature's joint secretary.
The BJP has, meanwhile, expressed its dissatisfaction over such a short session being called by the Speaker.
"We condemn the state government for reducing the number of days of session. They fear to face the Opposition as we have been exposing them on the floor of the House time and again," BJP's Legislature wing spokesman Damodar Naik said.
It was agreed on the floor of the House that the session would be held for minimum 40 days a year, he said.
"Last year, it was hardly 18 to 21 days of session," Naik added.
