Gratitude is an indispensable quality that enables us to move ahead and attract more abundance in all spheres of life. When we sit and ponder about all the wonderful things we have, the list is endless; it just flows on. First of all, gratefulness for our parents who have brought us into this world, taking care of our each and every need, amidst all hardships.
Give a heartfelt thanks to God who answers all our prayers, giving us the brilliance of the sun, the peace of the moon and stars and the coolness of showers day after day. He gives us breathtaking views of unparalleled beauty of nature, green grass, scented flowers, delicious fruits, shades of gigantic trees and water from flowing streams to quench our thirst. The biggest gratitude is to be born as a healthy human being. We must be grateful to all those people who offer their services to us on a daily basis and make our life easier and happier. Those are the faces you come across daily — the cook, the milkman, the papaerwallah, the breadwallah, the sweeper, etc.
No wonder, Chuck Danes had said, “ Reflect each day on all you have to be grateful for and you will receive more to be grateful for.”
Here is a lovely story. A man used to pray to God to give him something everyday. But he found that he did not receive anything. His neighbour, however, got little favours each day. So he asked God for the reason and God told him gently that his neighbour thanked Him each day for every small blessing he received.
The more grateful we are, the more wonderful things we attract to us to be grateful about, such is the power of gratefulness. If we have the consciousness of gratitude, we attract more situations to be grateful about, and God loves a grateful person.
