THE GOLF camp being organised at the BHEL Golf Club received good response on the first day on Tuesday. Arjuna Award recipient Ali Sher has been invited to provide tips to the participants. The camp will conclude on October 15.
It has been organised to attract City golfers. Though the game is not quite popular in the State capital, more than 12 players filled up registeration forms for the same.
“It was a good response. We are expecting more players to join the camp in the coming days,” club secretary A K Malhotra said.
After a gap of almost two years, a camp is being organised. Meanwhile, the club had organised an open competition in 2005. Participants have also shown keen interest.
“It is good to learn from senior players like Ali Sher,” Manjul Shrivastava said. When asked, Ali said a few among the participants are promising. The camp is open from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.
