Come April and director Rohit Shetty will start shooting his next

Golmaal

film. And if the buzz is any indication, then it’s going to be bigger and better than

Golmaal Returns

.

Of course, Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and Shreyas Talpade will play the mischievous foursome. But joining their Gopal, Lucky, Madhav and Laxman respectively, will be a fifth character, introduced for the first time in

Golmaal 3

, as it’s been titled.

However, like the first

Golmaal

movie, there will be only one heroine in the new franchise, Kareena Kapoor.

According to our source, “Gopal and Lucky, played by Ajay and Tusshar respectively, won’t be related as they were in

Golmaal Returns

, but all the four guys will be friends as they were in the first

Golmaal

. Sharman might return as the fifth guy, depending on the availability of his dates. Paresh, who was missing in the last film, will join the fun once again.”

It has also been heard that Ratna Shah Pathak will be roped in to play a pivotal character in this comedy. Our source also tells us that Shetty and company will return to their favourite location, Intercontinental Hotel in Goa, where they extensively shot the previous two films.

On being contacted, Shetty said, “Yes, it’s true that we’ll be starting the shoot on April 4 in Goa, for a 20-day schedule. We’ll be shooting at other locations also. But I can’t confirm anything else for now. I’m still in the process of finalising the cast and other things. Hopefully, in another eight-ten days, I should be able to give the final confirmation about

G3

.”

When asked if

Golmaal 3

will create a new record for blowing up the maximum cars, considering that he blew up 17 cars in

Golmaal Returns

and 23 in

All The Best

, Shetty laughed.

“You never know. I’m working out that part in the script also. So let’s see,” he admitted.

So, while it’s another ten days before he finalises the rest of the cast and crew for

Golmaal 3

, Shetty and his producers, Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision, have already announced that they are coming this Diwali.

Looks like the Golmaal team is all set to laugh its way to the back again, like

Golmaal Returns

in 2008.
