Goods train rams into tractor-trolley, one dead in UP

One person was killed when a goods train rammed into a tractor-trolley in the Rura area under Ramabai Nagar district, Railway officials said on Saturday.

Around 10.30 PM on Friday, a goods train moving towards Delhi from Kanpur hit a tractor-trolley," deputy chief traffic manager of Kanpur Central Railway Station, S N Shukla said.
The unidentified victim was driving the ill-fated tractor.
Railway team was rushed to the spot and the rail track was cleared for train movement within 90 minutes. Among the prominent trains which were delayed included Patna Rajdhani Express and Shramshakti Express.
Superintendent of Kanpur Railway Station, Mevalal said the train movement on this route returned to normal soon after midnight.
