As part of measures to facelift government hospital, the Gurgaon civil hospital has opened a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to compete with new healthcare facilities being set up by private firms in the city.

The 200-bedded hospital has added several modern health care facilities which will be provided to the patients free of cost unlike private hospitals where patients have to spend huge amounts. Civil Surgeon, PK Garg said: “The ICU is equipped with an artificial respirator, ventilator, cardiac monitor and other equipment to treat serious patients. As of now, six beds have been placed.”
