Governor felicitates Babulal Patodi

PEOPLE SHOULD rise above selfish interest and pursue the path of selfless service, said Governor Dr Balram Jakhar while felicitating renowned social worker Padmashri Babulal Patodi at Gommatgiri today. He added that to give meaning to life, one should follow the path shown by Gurus and great men.

PEOPLE SHOULD rise above selfish interest and pursue the path of selfless service, said Governor Dr Balram Jakhar while felicitating renowned social worker Padmashri Babulal Patodi at Gommatgiri today. He added that to give meaning to life, one should follow the path shown by Gurus and great men.

Patodi was presented shawl, ‘shrifal’ and memento by the Governor. Jakhar said that people should believe in the principle of live and let live and added that there were many who live for themselves, but there are very few who live for others.

The Governor further said that those who live for others are respected. ‘‘Life is short-lived, which can terminate anytime but social service and service to Lord leave indelible imprint on society. Therefore people should rise above selfish interest and pursue service to Lord.

If one troubles others, they would soon face their nemesis.’’ The Governor said that there was dire need people like Patodi in society. In his address, State Forest and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Prakash Sonkar said that the life of Patodi was a lesson for others and his deeds inspired us to do social service.

Governor Dr Jakhar also saw a statue of Babulal Patodi that is being erected at Gommatgiri. Large number of people was present in the programme.
