Govt hikes Backward Class Finance Corporation budget

CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that the budget of the Madhya Pradesh Backward Class Finance and Development Corporation would be increased from Rs 5 crore to Rs 15 crore.

He added further that income limit for students seeking coaching facility at New Delhi for all-India competition examinations would be raised from Rs 25,000 to Rs 1 lakh and for medical group students from Rs 44,000 to Rs 1.50 lakh.
He was addressing a function organised by the Madhya Pradesh OBC Officers and Employees Association at Ravindra Bhavan.

The Association felicitated Chouhan for increasing the creamy layer for backward classes from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.50 lakh and taking concrete initiatives for the farmers and poor.

The Chief Minister said that the Bhopal based pre-examination coaching centre for OBC students would be developed into a Centre of Excellence.

He said the State Government would bear the expenses of Jitendra Yadav’s studies who stood first in PET in Madhya Pradesh. Minister for Backward Class Welfare Rustam Singh threw light on educational facilities for students.

Minster for Revenue Kamal Patel, Minister for Health Ajay Vishnoi and Minister of State for Social Justice Narayan Singh Kushwah also spoke on the occasion.

Minister of State for Public Health Engineering Gangaram Patel, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Seeds Development Corporation, Mahendra Singh Yadav, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Mining Development Corporation, Kok Singh Narvaria, Urdu poet Bashir Badra, Bhopal Quazi Abdul Latif, Association president R N Singh and representatives of various organisations representing OBC were present on the occasion.
