Govt orders probe into Meerut evaluation scam

CHIEF MINISTER Mulayam Singh Yadav said here on Monday that the government ordered an inquiry into the answer book evaluation racket.

The inquiry has been instituted following reports that some minors were asked to check the answer sheets of the Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Talking to newsmen here on Monday he said that stern action would be taken against the officials involved in the evaluation racket.

He further said that inquiry into the bungling in Kanya Vidhyadhan Yojna was also instituted and guilty would not be spared.

To a question that the State Government was under pressure from Centre over the transfer of DGP, Chief Minster said that neither his government had worked under pressure nor would it accept any kind of pressure over any issue.

The Chief Minister was here to call on ailing party leader Harbans Singh Bhalla at Regency Hospital.
