An IOC executive arrested in Jaipur on the charges being linked to IS-related activities had allegedly formed a group, IS sympathisers, that included a girl from Hyderabad in her twenties and two boys from Maharashtra, sources told HT.

“The girl in her mid-20s was radicalised online and deeply influenced by the activities of IS. She is under surveillance but efforts are on to de-radicalise her with the help of family and community leaders,” said a home ministry official.

Officials in Maharashtra are also talking to the families of two boys in order to wean them away from the lure of IS.
