Traders in Ghaziabad are a relieved lot as the state government has withdrawn its June 17 order of fixing the opening and closing time for commercial establishments to deal with power shortage in UP.

According to traders, it is not practical to close commercial establishments in NCR by 7pm as many people hang out with their families and friends late in the evenings.

Most of the population living in areas such as Indirapuram, Kaushambi, Vaishali, Vasundhara and Sahibabad belong to the service class who go out for shopping during late evenings.
