AFTER FACING a lot of criticism over postponing the main event of its Golden Jubilee Celebrations expecting participation of VVIPs, BHEL management has finally decided to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner on September 4.
BHEL, Bhopal in its series of programmes being held during its Golden Jubilee Celebrations is organising a grand cultural programme and exhibition on September 4 at 6.30 pm at Parade Ground, Piplani in which artists of national fame will participate.
According to a BHEL official release, while the exhibition being setup depicts the 50-year glorious journey of BHEL, it will showcase actual products being manufactured at the Bhopal plant.
The main attraction of the cultural programme is well known sufi singer Kailesh Kher of ‘Alah ke Bande’ fame who will be performing with his complete troupe. Harish Bhimani will be the master of the ceremony. Dance performances choreographed by award winner Girish Pardesi will be another of the attractions.
Taking into account the rainy season, fully water proof arena of approximately 70,000 sq ft area with a grand stage of 60 ft x 40 ft is being set up specially for the show at the programme venue. For the first time in Bhopal, special hanging line array flying sound system of mega wattage, sky lights, special effect lights, lasers, pyro-techniques, giant projection screens, hydraulic platform will make the event a high-tech extravaganza.
Over the last month, arrangements have been on in full swing to enthrall the audience. BHEL management has also invited citizens of Bhopal with their families to witness the programme, which will start at 6.30 pm at Piplani Parade Ground.
