Green House athletes shine on final day

GREEN HOUSE won the overall team championship on the final day of the St Joseph?s Co-Ed School annual sports meet, which concluded on Saturday. Red House stood second and Yellow House finished third.

GREEN HOUSE won the overall team championship on the final day of the St Joseph’s Co-Ed School annual sports meet, which concluded on Saturday. Red House stood second and Yellow House finished third.

Many athletic events were held on the concluding of the two-day meet. Raj Sharan of the Yellow House won the first position in the 200m race for senior boys, Bhuwan Jain of the Red House bagged the second position. Karan Saluja of the Blue House had to contend with the third position.

In 100m race for senior girls, Nikita Wadwani (Blue House) emerged winner while Taru Jain of the same house came second. Pearl Edmund of Red House bagged the third position.

In the 4x100m race for the senior girls, Green House won the first position whereas Blue House finished second and Red House had to content with the third position.

In the boys’ 100m race for Class XI, Jitesh Babu of the Green House won the first position while Kartikeyan Khare of the Red House bagged the second position.

Prashant Singh of the Blue House had stood third. Monica Wadwani of the Red House won the first position in the girls’ 100m race for Class XI.

Geeta of the Blue House got the second position while Nidhi Berdia of the Green House finished third. In the boys’ 100m race for the middle section, Bhanu Pratap Singh of the Green House won the first position. Sumit Minj of the Blue House bagged the second position and Aditya Tiwari of the Green House finished third.

Yellow House won the first prize for the march past while Green House grabbed the second prize. Red House had to be content with the third prize. 

At the prize distribution ceremony, Revenue Minister Kamal Patel was  the guest of honour. He distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions.

Archbishop of Bhopal Dr Pascal Topno, principal of the school Fr Maria Stephen, manager Fr Abraham, headmistress of the school Sr Mercy, head coordinator Sr Julie, nuns, priests and a large number of parents were present.
