Grenade recovered, defused in Poonch

A grenade was on Friday recovered by the security forces in border city of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said here.

The live grenade was recovered in Dongus Mohalla in Poonch city on Friday morning, they said, adding it was later defused.

The grenade was found laying close to the house of the father-in-law of minister for revenue Raman Bhalla. The house was, however, closed as the family is living in Jammu.

The grenade was old and rusted, a senior police officer said adding, "It has nothing to do with any militancy incident."
