Three bus drivers of a private school in Agartala were injured when guardians angry with steep hike in school fee attacked the buses at Narsingarh area, police said on Tuesday.

A group of agitated guardians stopped six school buses of Bhavan's Tripura Vidya Mandir when they were going to school and pelted stones on Monday in which the three drivers suffered injuries, they said.

A few students of the primary level also suffered minor injures, police said.

An FIR has been lodged with Airport police station against six persons but no arrest was made so far, said a

police officer.

Some of the guardians of the students of the school were agitated over the abrupt hike in school fees by the school

authority, they said.

The agitated guardians attacked the school buses after their demand for reduction in school fees was rejected by the

school authorities, sources added.
