Gujarat: 10 dead after tractor-trolley falls in well

At least 10 people were killed and over 25 were injured when a tractor-trolley carrying a body for cremation fell into an open well in a Gujarat village.

The incident occurred at Bhotwa-Gadh village in Mahisagar district.

Mahisagar SP MK Amin said the vehicle with 39 people was heading to a cremation ground in Gadh. It went out of the driver’s control on a slope, falling into an open well.

The 25 injured people were rushed to two nearby hospitals. Police said the casualties might go up as the condition of some of the injured was serious.
