Possibility of developing a smart city between Bhopal and Indore would be explored by the Dubai-based company Smart City. A team of experts from the company is likely to visit the state for this purpose soon.

This was discussed when the state chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met CEO of Smart City, Abdul Latif Al Mulla during his Dubai visit. Latif evinced interest in development of a smart city in Madhya Pradesh.

It was also agreed that the company will take part in Global Investors Summit in October at Indore. A smart city is already being developed in Kochi (Kerala) by the company and is expected to be India's largest business park.

The company has developed 12 business townships and 5 industry clusters in different parts of the world. Chouhan addressed an interactive session at Dubai's Hotel Crown Plaza with prospective investors. The CM dwelt in detail on industrial possibilities in Madhya Pradesh and invited investors to participate in the upcoming global investors' meet in Indore in October.
