Unidentified gunmen barged into a house and killed a youth in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday night.
Around 11pm, according to eye witnesses, gunmen forced their entry into the house of Manzoor Ahmad Dar at Keller area’s Vishru village. The gunmen opened indiscriminate firing injuring Dar (25) and left him in a pool of blood. They flee from the spot taking advantage of the darkness.
“The victim was rushed to a local hospital by his relatives and neighbours. He succumbed on the way,” said a police officer.
Six civilians have been killed this year by unidentified gunment. The killing cycle on January 31 when gunmen, suspected to be Lashkar-e-Tayyeba militants, barged into a one-room house in north Kashmir’s Sopore area and killed two sisters.
