An altercation in a Gurgaon music store took an ugly turn when Sonisha, a salesgirl, reportedly attacked a senior citizen with a knife. The condition of Vijay Sood, 65, a resident of the posh Windsor Court condominium, is stable.

According to DCP (East) Satheesh Balan, Radhe Mahenderu went to a music store in Super Mart, DLF Phase IV around 9.45 pm after his daughter Kirti (name changed) complained that a sales executive had slapped her. Sood went along. “When they were talking to Sonisha, she took out a butcher’s knife and stabbed Sood in the stomach,” said the DCP.

In his complaint Mahenderu said his daughter had called up the store to get a DVD. “Sonisha reportedly told Kirti to come and get it herself as none of the delivery boys were free. Kirti went to the store and an altercation ensued,” Balan added. Sonisha said she acted in self-defence. “I was abused, slapped and my clothes ripped off by three people who threatened to parade me naked. One of them dragged me by the hair. I groped for something to save myself and spotted a knife.”
