The Millennium City is all set for a date with sufi music, qawwali and theatre with ‘Gurgaon Utsav’, a cultural evening, being organised at the newly-built amphitheatre at Aravalli Bio Diversity Park on March 11.

The festival is being organised by ARTS, which works towards promoting performing arts. It’s being supported by the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon and NGO I am Gurgaon.

Dr Madan Gopal, a known name in Sufi music, and Qawwali singers Qutubi Brothers would be performing at the event.

“The event is being held to inaugurate the amphitheatre. The venue is a space where nature and the arts complement each other,” said ARTS director Uma Prakash.

“We plan to create an invigorating atmosphere initiating informal interaction between the performing arts and the people of Gurgaon. It will be a treat for music lovers,” Prakash said.
