IRATE MEMBERS of the Gurjar community on Tuesday demanded resignation of Minorities Welfare Minister Rustam Singh, who belongs to the Gurjar community.

Talking to reporters here today, community leader Saheb Singh Gurjar criticised Rustam Singh for doing ‘precious little’ towards social security and economic uplift of the community.

Gurjar said the proposed Gurjar Sammelan at Gwalior on November 11 will now be observed as ‘Protest Meeting’ (Aakrosh Sabha). Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia and national president of the Gurjar community Avatar Singh Bhadana will be present on the occasion.

Gurjar accused the State government of failing to provide social security to the Gurjar community being targeted by bandit Gadaria gang.  The promises made by the State Government after Bhanwarpura massacre of 13 Gurjars were never fulfilled, he said.

He threatened to organise a ‘Gurjar Sena’ of youths if the government failed to discharge its duties. Those present included Rajveer Singh Ghuraiya and Virendra Singh.
