Microsoft will be formally launching the next version of its Internet Explorer browser, IE9, on Monday, March 14. The IE9, which has a refreshed look and a faster start time, will take up less space than the previous versions of Internet Explorer. IE9 will also pin sites to the Windows task bar such that sites can program their pages to act more like desktop applications with things like notifications, and the Windows 7 Jump List feature. On the security side, IE9 also adds support for ‘do not track’, through lists that users can subscribe to, and thus filter ActiveX content from pages.
