The Haridwar Police have issued a notice to one of the trusts owned by yoga guru Ramdev in connection with a missing case of two Bangladeshi citizens.

A notice under the Foreign Act has been issued to Yog Gram asking the management to explain as to why it did not inform the local police about the arrival of foreigners, Haridwar senior superintendent of police Kewal Khurana said.

The police are trying to trace Sanchita Bhattacharya and her 17-year-old mentally challenged son Vishwakanti, who according to the Yog Gram management were discharged on August 6, Khurana said.

Bonkesh Bhattacharya, a Bangladeshi citizen, along with his wife, son and daughter had come to Yog Gram for treatment of his son in July, Khurana said adding while Bhattacharya and his daughter returned to their country in July, his wife and son were scheduled to return on August 6.

When they did not return home, Bhattacharya contacted Yog Gram which informed him that they have already left.

Later, he sought the help of Bangladeshi government which took up the matter with India.
