The budget session of Haryana Assembly, which was slated to commence from Monday, will now be heldfrom Thursday in the wake of death of father of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Ranbir Singh Hooda, 95, died at his native place Rohtak this evening following prolonged illness.
In view of death of Ranbir Singh, the lone surviving member of the Constituent Assembly of India, the state Government declared a three day state mourning.
According to its earlier schedule, the budget session was to commence tomorrow with the address of Governor Dr A R Kidwai and obituary references to former President R Venkataraman and former Prime minister V P Singh and others.
Now the budget session will start after the three-days state mourning.
The opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) led by former Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala is prepared to corner
the over three year old Bhupinder Singh Hooda led Congress Government on various issues, including law and order and powerand water shortage.
The Congress members would use every opportunity to highlight the achievements of the government on various fronts.
