Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Sunday escaped unhurt after one of the tyres of their aircraft got stuck in mud while taxing at the Chang airstrip, some 10 kms from Bhiwani.

As the aircraft was taxing on the runway, one of its wheels got stuck in mud, forcing immediate stoppage of the plane, officials here said.

Both Hooda and Singh were safe, they said.

Hooda was in the city to unveil a statue of former Chief Minister BD Gupta here.
