Haryana government plans to setup 1,000 Citizen Service Centres at as many locations across the state with a view to provide quick, efficient, transparent and hassle-free services to the people.
The centres, also known as Haryana e-Seva Kendras, would work as channels to deliver various services to the people, a government spokesman said here today.
"Determined to make delivery of a whole range of citizen-centric services cutting across various government departments and the private sector, the state government has launched a special drive to deliver at least 70 to 80 services in the electronic mode by the end of the current fiscal," he said.
These services had been shortlisted keeping an eye on the involvement of maximum number of citizens. The pilot project for the purpose has already been launched at some locations in Ambala and Panchkula districts, he said.
The service centres would preferably be set up at panchayat offices in villages to lace their identity with the panchayat system, the spokesman said.
