In a case of gross carelessness, Haryana Board of School Education issued a wrong mathematics question paper to the students which led to the cancellation of exam across the state on Tuesday.
The class ten students were issued a question paper of first semester examination while they were appearing for second semester examination.
The exam would now be held on March 5.
After receiving complaints from various centres, board secretary Srinivasan announced the cancellation of the paper.
Board spokesperson Meenakshi Sharda informed that an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
The goof up has affected nearly three lakh students in the state.
