Health tips for would-be-brides
A good diet, a cleansing routine and an exercise regimen can make you look radiant on your big
Every bride wants to look perfect on her wedding day; understandably so since it’s one of the most important events in a woman’s life. However, for some, the last few months leading up to the big day can also be the most stressful as many women work especially hard at this stage to get into shape.
Though a six-month countdown is ideal, if you face a time crunch, you could follow a good diet, exercise and skincare regimen for even a few weeks before the big event and still manage to look your radiant best.
Nutrition and exercise: You simply cannot look and feel great if your body is not properly nourished. Stress makes many brides-to-be overeat or resort to fad diets to lose weight.
Both are bad; instead try to be consistent in your eating habits. Not eating properly could leave you feeling faint and may lead to other health issues. Rather than eating three large meals a day, eat smaller meals, more frequently, which is also more effective for weight loss.
Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet (at least 5 to 8 servings). One serving is equal to half a cup of cooked vegetable or one cup of raw salad. Drink at least 2 glasses of vegetable juice made from readily available vegetables at home like tomatoes, spinach, dudhi, mint and coriander.
These help to eliminate body odour and detoxify your body. Foods like garlic, onions, methi are good for health and have certain aromatic substances that affect the odour of our armpits, breath, urine and stools.
Meat and chicken also cause body odour if they are not digested properly. So avoid these if you suffer from body odour. If you are overweight you must try to lose some weight as ones personal appearance and physical fitness is intimately tied to ones self esteem and performance.
Include at least 40 to 45 gms of protein in your diet with fish, egg white and diary products. Ensure that your diet provides you sufficient calcium.
Limit or stay away from empty calorie foods such as French fries, fried starters, heavy desserts and alcohol. Freshly squeezed orange juice is great for your skin and hair and gives your body easy to digest condensed nutrients.
