Heera leads Manik Bagh XI to victory

MANIK BAGH XI lifted the coveted Bhavan’s Prominent Trophy in cricket. In the thrilling final, Manik Bagh XI defeated strong hold Madan XI by five runs to lift the trophy.

Batting first, Manik Bagh XI scored 95 runs in 10 overs. Heera Yadav batted well to score a brisk 32 runs while Bidu and Monu scored 25 and 20 runs respectively.

Chasing the target, Madan XI could manage only 90 runs. Bablu Thakur and Dilip scored 30 runs each. Heera Yadav, after scoring a quick 32 with his willow, captured four wickets to help his team win the trophy.

IDCA president Shravan Gupta and school director Gertrude Olga Meer were the chief guests while corporator Chandu Shinde presided over the function.

IDCA secretary Kanwaljeet Khanuja was the special invitee for the function. More than Rs 31,000 prize money was distributed in the tournament for best batsman, bowler, fielder and all rounder. Heera Yadav won the best batsman award.

On the occasion, upcoming players Santhosh Nana, Dilip and Anand Dholpure were felicitated.
