Team Anna member Santosh Hegde today dismissed suggestions that it was "very adamant" on their jan lokpal draft and said there could be talks with the Government for a consensus on some contentious issues regarding the lokpal bill.
"They (Government) have said that we are very adamant about judges and the PM (bringing the prime minister and judiciary under the Lokpal ambit). If that is the only two objections they have then I will talk and try to persuade my team," Hegde, the former Karnataka Lokayukta, said.
"In all there are eight issues where we have differences. That means they (government) are willing to agree with the other six and the problem is only on the PM and judiciary, we are ready to have talks with them and reach a consensus," Hegde told reporters, adding, "we want to expose the government."
Government has said that 34 of 40 principles of Team Hazare had been accepted by it during talks for drafting the Lokpal bill, but added that insistence of the team that only their version of bill should prevail was not reasonable.
