MAHARASHTRA POLICE and Rabbani Club have sailed into the last four at the Ramesh Chandra Memorial All India Gold Cup football tournament organised by Central Gymkhana at Christian College grounds on Friday.

In the first match, Maharashtra Police beat Sporting Union (Indore) 2-0. Rabbani Club defeated Rajmohallah by tie-breaker in the second match to enter the next round. In the stipulated time, Rabbani and Rajmohallah shared 1-1 goal each but in the tie-breaker Rabbani players were more perfect in their target to win the match.

There will be a goodwill match between Journalist XI and Administration XI on Saturday. Journalist XI team will be led by Anil Thyagi and Corporator Chandu Shinde will be Administration XI skipper.

TT tourney from Jan 22
INTER-SCHOOL TABLE tennis tournament in memory of Siddharth Soni and organised jointly by Indore Table Tennis Association and Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School will begin from January 22 at Siddharth Academy Sports Academy. More than 25 schools are taking part in the tournament.

Indian sports festival
INDIAN SPORTS Festival organised by Bharatiya Khekl Kumbh in memory of Guruji Centenary year will be held at Indore from January 24 to January 31.
Organisor of the festival Rajesh Sonkar said that to fulfill the dream of Guruji they are organising various Indian Sports like wrestling, kho-kho, archery, kabaddi, fencing, gilli-danda, malkham, kite flying, karate, yogasan would be held.

Weekly pair bridge competition
DR ANIL Vijaywargiya and Jitesh Agrawal topped the weekly pair bridge competition organised by Indore Contact Bridge Association at Yeshwant Club premises. Both scored 36 points to top the table. Dr L S Sharma/A P Kher won the second position by scoring 27 points respectively.

Vinayak Public School sports meet
SPORTS MEET of Vinayak Public School began on their premises Kalibillod, Bhojpuri Colony on Friday. The chief guest and School director Anil Sharma inaugurated the sports meet. The final rounds of the event would be held on Saturday. School principal Pushpalata Kansal presided over the function.
