Hizb couriers arrested
Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four persons, including two close associates of notorious Hizbul Mujahideen militant Abdullah Inquilabi in south Kashmir’s Kulgam.

A police spokesman said the police station Damhal Hanjipora, Kulgam, was monitoring the movements of Mohammad Farooq Deeded and Qasim Jan, wife of Mohammad Bashir Deeded. "The duo was close associates of Inquilabi of Peer Panjal Range. They were to hand-over a consignment of arms, ammunition and cash to Inquilabi," said the spokesman.
The police laid a trap on Tuesday and erected a road-side barrier after keeping a close tab on their movement. The barrier was established at Tangmarg road near a check post by the contingent of police of Anantnag, 18 Battalion. CRPF and the army's 62 RR.
"During the checking of a Tata Sumo coming from Damhal Hanjipora towards Aharbal, four persons were arrested," said the spokesman.
