Hizbul militant, 2 LeT operatives nabbed in J&K
Security forces today arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant and two Lashker-e-Taiba operatives in separate operations in Budgam and Pulwama districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Security forces on Thursday arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant and two Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives in separate operations in Budgam and Pulwama districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Bilal Ahmed Wagey, a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, was arrested from a house in Chulain Chuntinar village near Yusmarg in Budgam district of central Kashmir, an army spokesman said.
A resident of Wasumarg village, Wagey had been absconding since October last year. A 9-mm pistol along with some ammunition was recovered from his possession.
In another operation, a police spokesman said two overground workers of LeT were arrested from Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
The duo, identified as Abdul Hana Najar and Shabir Ahmad Bhat, was arrested from Khalloen village, the spokesman said.
He said a hand grenade and 15 rounds of AK ammunition were recovered from their possession.
