BOMB HOAX AT MUMBAI STN
Services Between Bandra and Andheri on Western Railway line, target of Tuesday’s terror strikes, were suspended for more than 40 minutes late on Saturday afternoon after a bomb scare. The railway police control room received a call claiming the Vile Parle station would be blown up at exactly 5 pm. A thorough search, however, proved it to be a hoax.

PANIC AT INDIA GATE
In Delhi, security officials went into a tizzy on Saturday morning after receiving a call about a bomb planted at the India Gate. The area was evacuated and combing operations were launched. However, after extensive searches by security officials, bomb disposal and dog squads, it too turned out to be a hoax.

POLICE FEAR FRESH STRIKES
The Mumbai police fears that the terrorists who orchestrated Tuesday’s serial blasts, and are still at large, could carry out fresh strikes in the city within the next 10 days. The strikes would have a different target though. It could be a series of BEST buses, theatres or shopping malls. A senior officer said the terrorists were monitoring the blast probe, through print and electronic media, and could fine-tune the details of their next strike accordingly.

TRAIN HALTED AFTER CALL
The passengers of the express train bound for temple town Tirupati had anxious moments when the train was stopped at Bibinagar following a bomb threat. However, the bomb threat call turned out to be a hoax and the train left for its destination at 9.20 pm, a spokesman of South Central Railway said.
