The Delhi Police has been troubled by a disturbing trend of hoax bomb calls, most of them made by minors following the blasts in Mumbai. The calls have led to searches at India Gate, Red Fort, AIIMS, Akshardham Temple, PVR Plaza, Satyam multiplex and Gurudwara Sis Ganj in the last ten days.

An 18-year-old youth was arrested in North-East Delhi for claiming that explosives had been planted at the Akshardham Temple, PVR Plaza and Gurudwara Sis Ganj while two school kids were picked up for reporting a bomb at AIIMS.

Two intermediate students were arrested by Uttaranchal police on Saturday and two teenagers nabbed on Sunday for making hoax calls about bombs at the India Gate and Satyam theatre complex, respectively.

A school student from Indore, who allegedly sent e-mails to the media claiming responsibility for the July 11 Mumbai bombings, was also arrested last week, along with his cousin and another friend.
